08 もう一つのシミュレーション

読むのが遅れてしまいましたが、昨日私が書いたことが、urbeさんのコメントに対する、応答になるだろうとおもいます。たしかに、赤ちゃんによる自分の意図の理解をどのようなものとして理解するかが、問題です。

代案を提案するまえに、もう少しトマセロの主張を確認しておきたいとおもいます。

幼児の発達心理学では「誤信念問題」というのが有名な事例です。それは、幼児は、自分が知っていることは他者も知っていると間違って信じているということです。この間違いをしなくなるのは、４，５歳なのですが、そのためには、他者が自分とは独立の心をもつ主体であるという理解が必要です。
このりかいについても、トマセロはシミュレーションで説明しようとします。

「生後９ヶ月で乳児が意図をもつ主体として他者を理解するようになることを説明するのにシミュレーションというプロセスを採用したのに続いて、本書では、幼児が他者を心を持つ主体として理解するようになることを説明するためにもシミュレーション説を援用する。」235

このシミュレーションは、「自分自身の思考や信念を新しい仕方で理解するようになること」(235)を前提すると考えられています。

    命題的信念帰属より，共同注意はもっと素朴な能力なように思えます．

    ところで少し混乱したのですが，９ヶ月での他者への意図・欲求帰属は自己の把握に先行する，とトマセロは考えているのでしょうか？

    他者への意図・欲求帰属というものを，トマセロはどれほど下位の能力と位置づけているのでしょうか？

    たとえば群れで行動する動物の顔認識や感情の認識というものは，自己の概念を前提とせずとも，mirroring や resonance というものとしてとらえられます．群れの他の個体が捕食者を見て恐怖を感じたとき，自分も恐怖を感じたほうが生存率が高まるわけです．
